"A federal judge has handed down the harshest punishment yet for someone involved in the Capitol riot on January 6, sentencing a Texas man who was not physically present at the riot to 14 months in prison. His sentence is the longest term to date resulting from the federal investigation of the incident at the nation's capital. One of the few black people among the 600-plus defendants charged so far, Smocks argued that his treatment has been unfair compared with others who did actually enter the Capitol -- U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan said: "People died fighting for civil rights -- 'For you to hold yourself up as somehow a soldier in that fight is very audacious."
Well, when you look at it.... isn't this man just as much as a freedom fighter as MLK, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, the guy who played Arnold on Different Strokes and other civil rights heroes?? All of these people faced racial bias and systemic oppression from the courts and other institutions....While it is rare for folks on the Conservative side of the aisle to admit this; now you have one of your own....right in your face showing you that he is being unfairly targeted for his race..the victim of a racist judge no doubt....will you not demand justice for him -- and why did it take a person like me for you to even know who he is??? This man is a martyr!!
