He went dark for a while, but Timothy McVeigh upstaged him with the bombing in Oklahoma City. Kaczynski then demanded that his manifesto be printed, and his family recognized the writing style. To save possible innocent victims they turned him in.

Luigi Mangione’s face was out there right away. His family, his classmates, and his personal friends all stayed mum. What does that tell you about these people? A worker at McDonald’s recognized the killer who was brazenly eating a Big Mac. Who else would have been snuffed in the coming months if that worker had not been there?

These are the kinds of people we have in our society today. The mindset is already using victimology to drape the killer as a martyr with a bad back.
