Three employees at the Academy Sports + Outdoors store in Louisiana were terminated after responding to a shoplifter who stole a pistol.

some black dude stole a gun and employees got fired for trying to stop him. so there policy is people can steal anything they want. what a dumb store.

They should have been commended and given a raise. Terrible how retail companies leave their poorly paid employees out hanging to dry instead. Companies actually encourage their own retail theft.

Apparently the suspect has not been arrested. That fired employee could have prevented several other subsequent crimes, had they caught the suspect. And now there's a gun on the streets that could be traded for drugs or show up in a robbery or murder.
