Lost Items and Other Dimensions

The theory that lost items have slipped into another dimension is a popular explanation for the phenomenon where objects disappear and later reappear in the same spot or in unexpected locations. This idea is often linked to concepts of parallel universes or dimensional shifts, suggesting that an object may temporarily exist in a different reality or dimension, only to return to the observer's world. Some individuals report that items vanish and reappear after significant time gaps, sometimes even months, which they interpret as evidence of a "dimensional slip" or "glitch in the matrix". The theory posits that when an object disappears, it may go "beyond the barrier" into another dimension and then reappear in its original location when it returns to the observer's dimension.

This concept is sometimes associated with a strong emotional or spiritual connection to the object, with the idea that the item "was meant to be" and thus returns. Some people believe that the phenomenon is connected to metaphysical forces or entities, such as faeries or spirits, which might move objects between dimensions. The theory is also linked to science fiction narratives where the passage of time involves moving between different universes, and lost items are simply forgotten by the creators of the new universe, leading to their temporary absence. While these explanations are not scientifically proven, they offer a compelling narrative for experiences that defy conventional logic.

What prompted this is yesterdays disappearance of a pair of scissors that is always kept in the same drawer.
It was used yesterday to trim a rose bush in the garden and my wife swears she replaced it back in the drawer.
We have searched absolutely everywhere. These scissors were very special. We bought them more than 20
years ago from a nephew who was selling things as a teenager for some company whose name I forgot.
These scissors were indestructible and could cut through things ordinary scissors could not.
We even searched the garbage and recycle bins. They just disappeared.
Maybe they slipped into another dimension?

it's you, not the object, that briefly goes into another dimension and back into this dimension when you forget what you were in that room for, according to the Convoluted Universe books by Dolores Cannon.

Maybe. We ended up finding it in a place we never keep it. My wife swears she didn't put it there, that I must have. But I have no memory of using the scissor and putting it where it was found.

Well that probably explains what happened to the Epstein files and the Russian Pee Tapes.

.

I remember once, when I was in my healthy early 30's, I lost my glasses. Not a huge deal because I didn't drive then or need my glasses for work.

Found them three weeks later, in the freezer.

Go figure.

.

I lose my glasses sometimes too, until I realize they're on top of my head.:laughing0301:
.

I think I can top that. Back when I was still vaping, I was about to leave the house and couldn't find my vape. Looked all over for it, then realized it was in my left hand. (I'm right handed)

.

Where the hell did my hair go? seems like every time I look in the mirror somebody or something has taken another 1/4 inch from the front, and a little from the back. Is there another universe filled with old men's hair?

Dolores Cannon said people who are schizophrenic are hearing voices from another dimension.

similar thing happened to me in a hotel once,
when i woke up in the morning, i could not find my glasses

i searched the whole room, they were nowhere.

then I asked a room.maid for help.

she went straight to my bed, lifted the mattress ....

and there were my glasses .... under the mattress!

i am a 100% sure i never put them there!

15th post
It happened to my husband and me, once in our lifetime....the object was on a glass coffee table, the last time we saw it....then gone! I brought the hubby in the room to see if he had moved it....he said no....he last saw it on the glass coffee table...we needed it before we left on our trip... We searched everywhere we could have put it, in every room in the house...at least ten times...the whole house including the coffee table has been gone over with a fine tooth comb, looking for it....

We were going on vacation to a cabin in the Maine woods.. The directions and key to open it, was in an envelope on the coffee table...we couldn't leave without it.

2 hours later the hubby and I go back in to the living room for the 100th time, and there sitting on the coffee table in clear view, was the envelope we were looking for...

I accused him of hiding it and putting it back, he accused me of hiding it and putting it back!!! Both of us were searching together as a team room by room and no way did either of us want to delay leaving for vacation...we knew neither of us had, after our accusations...then, we looked at each other and started humming the theme song to the Twilight Zone! And have brought up what happened over again the next 30 years...

and to this day i have no explanation for this.
Have you?
