Zone1 Losing Fear of the Lord

Did King David, the apple of God's eye, understand what loving God means? His sins were egregious.
There is a lesson there.

God did not want man to be king because man cannot handle power without it corrupting them

Had he not been king, I doubt those sins would have every occurred.

It is important to note how readily David repented, however.

He said his sins were always in front of his face. David had a repentant heart, and God loved him for it.

Really, no different than the head of your religion living in a big palace in Rome, with Billions of dollars in art.
That's as silly as saying Biden lives in a big palace in Washington, with billions of dollars in art.
The paintings don't belong to the Pope. just like the Smithsonian doesn't belong to Biden.
The Pope is a world leader of 2 million Catholics. He has to live in a place with security, given all the godless Marxist nuts who want to do him in. He can't live in a Motel 6.

Obviously there was a point when temptation did become burdensome and did overwhelm him, despite his love.
Few people love God unconditionally, which could explain why Jesus said most people end up in Hell. God tests us and we hate him for that sometimes. We go through all kinds of hideous things and He doesn't appear to care..

But as the Word says "Be angry.. but sin not"

I believe it is 1.2 billion Catholics in the world.. or maybe that was before Vatican II

The verse in Ephesians continues, saying do not let the sun go down on your anger and do not leave room for the devil. Christ also noted that all sin begins in the heart, that what is in the heart finds its way out.

I have never hated God, or anyone for that matter. What's the point. In Catholic school we were taught to find that spark of divinity in everyone--and that leads to understanding, not hate.
