What factors are the most important to voters when casting their ballots for political choices? I stand with the 83% who voted in this national telephone survey of 1000 Likely Voters.

Americans are model voters when you ask them what motivates their voting decisions
.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of American Adults believe most of their fellow citizens are not informed voters, but most voters beg to differ in the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Conducted July 27-28, 2014

1* When you vote, would you say you are guided more by your head or your heart? Or do both play an equal part in your voting decisions?

2* Which is more important to how you vote - a candidate's positions or the political party he or she represents?

3* How important is a candidate's physical appearance to your vote?

4* How important is it to your vote whether a candidate is a man or a woman?

5* How important is it to your vote whether a candidate is the same race you are?

NOTE: Margin of Sampling Error, +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence

What Helps Voters Decide - Looks? Sex? Race? Issues? - Rasmussen Reports?

I pretty much base the entirety of my vote on whether or not the candidate would look good in a thong.

I guess that means number three for me, then.

We'll put you in the uninformed class????

Why the candidates position of course.............If available...........

If not the lesser of two evils..............

I'd vote for Athena's Avatar of course............. :eusa_shhh:

History and positions on specific issues.

I would vote for a black transgendered woman muslim if she were conservative and shared my position on specific topics.

Hillary's out......

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

One thing we do know is that back in 2008 CNN Exit Polls found that more racists voted for Obama than for McCain.

I know a women who said she voted for Bush in 2000 because he was better looking than Gore.......I vote on issues, and also, the least plasticine. And depending on answers to questions like "are you voting because of race"? is a waste of oxygen.
