Lebanon has increasingly become radicalized under cowardly groups like Hezbollah, to which the Christians are becoming subjected to Muslim Law! During the Lebanese Civil War that mainly pit Christians against Muslims resulted in 900K people fleeing the country, The vast VAST majority of them were Christians. In '94, the Lebanese government allowed the naturalization of 300K Muslims (mostly Syrians). Christians complain of harassment by radicals Lebanese Muslims. If predicted that by 2020 Christians will make up less than 10% of the population. At that point you can expect a similar thing to happen to the Lebanese Christians as happens to the Iraqi Christians, you can ________!

Now that comes to I/P conflict! Creating a one state solution btw Palestinians and Jews would result in an even bloodier civil war. It is not even arguable that the Israelis and Palestinians hate each more than the Lebanese Christians and Muslims. The war that would follow would not be pretty, thing Yugoslavia!

Therefore a 2 state solution is the ONLY choice!

Croats, Serbs, Slovenes, Bosnians, and others lived in peace for 40 years until the Stalinist regime rotted from within, giving way to nationalist ideologies calling for independent national states. This is as clear a demonstration as one could want that ethnic conflict isn't about one group of people hating another, it's about the divide-and-rule tactics used to grab hold of private property and bureaucratic privilege. What the people of Palestine and Lebanon need is a communist movement to unite oppressed people of all races and religions in the fight against oppression.
