Conventional wisdom and history strongly suggest the Dems will take back one or both houses of congress in the midterms. Actually she is Hispanic in a district in which the Hispanic population is growing. It probably is more of a case of identity politics. The problem is that the GOP is moving to the far right. The fact is that thus far the Democrats have largely gotten who they wanted. The polls in Virginia show white supremacist Corey Stewart is trailing by 18 points. That could lead to a loss of 1-3 House seats in Virginia alone.
