It is not right, what happened to her. The officer appears to be wrong, in actions.
That said, I must say, the internet is not just for cat vids, or partisan discussion groups.
Maybe, it is because I am a licensed carrier and see a lot of legal content. But, surely others have seen or should see some of the same. Every lawyer I see, whether talking about traffic citations or any other reason an officer stops you in your car, be they a legal or patently unjustified stop, all lawyers say the same thing. Follow instructions, if told to stop, or get out. Do not fight it out or resist on the side of the road. You cannot win on the side of the road and it opens up for escalation. Escalation can be deadly, when the cop is armed. The current incident clearly shows, you can die in your car, simply trying to evade being stopped, in an encounter with an officer. It is a no-win situation, on the side of the road, far better resolved in court. It certainly will not be fixed on the internet, when dead is simply dead.
It does not matter, your hair color, eye color, your background, your religion, age, sex or color of your skin. If told to stop by an armed officer, failure to comply, can be your death, whether an officer shooting is deemed justified or unjustified. And it will not bring you back to life, either way.
