My Grandfather served in the Navy during WWI, and was a welder in drydock Bremerton WA during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
My Dad served in Japan after WWII. He was a company clerk like Radar was in M.A.S.H.
My uncle Bob was a Torpedo-man's Mate in subs during Vietnam.
That makes me an expert in Bull Shitting.

Something I discovered while serving in the military is that just being in the military doesn't make you an expert on military tactics. You need to get proper training to get to the point where you know your job inside and out.
That's one of the many reasons I volunteered for Special Forces.
I found out after 11 years in the military, just how little I knew about military tactics.

Now imagine people with zero modern warfare experience, or training, trying to tell everyone how qualified they are because they know somebody who wore the uniform.

Up until a few years ago I was working on post servicing their HVAC systems, and I saw the abrupt changes going on the last 10 years.

They really don't have barracks anymore. They have hotels. The Army might as well be the Air Force......and they're just a bunch of civilians wearing uniforms,
