Trump's use in LA found to be illegal, as it was used to enforce domestic law. I would imagine this potentially affects other states like Illinois where the President has threatened to use Guard units against the wishes of the local governor.

Live updates: Trump’s use of National Guard during LA immigration protests is illegal, judge rules

President Donald Trump’s administration violated federal law in the use of National Guard troops during Southern California immigration enforcement operations and accompanying protests, a federal judge ruled on Tuesday.

Judge Charles Breyer in San Francisco did not require the remaining troops to be withdrawn, however. He set his order to go into effect on Friday.

The order comes after California sued, saying the troops sent to Los Angeles over the summer were violating a law that prohibits military enforcement of domestic laws. Lawyers for Trump’s Republican administration have argued the Posse Comitatus Act doesn’t apply because the troops were protecting federal officers, not enforcing laws. They say the troops were mobilized under an authority that allows the president to deploy them.

The judge’s decision comes as Trump has discussed National Guard deployments in Democratic-led cities like Chicago, Baltimore and New York. He has already deployed the guard as part of his unprecedented law enforcement takeover in Washington, where he has direct legal control.

Clinton appointee and brother of Stephen Breyer.

Those progs know how to Judge shop.

No judge can tell the commander and chief that he can't use the guard at federal government buildings... this will be overruled in less than a week... then congress should impeach the judge....

What also is illegal are people here illegally and their supporters obstructing ICE from doing their job.

You so-called law abiders sure have a hard time abiding by the laws..

The judges are making up the law as they go trying to stop the Trump agenda... but its not working... I can't think of many rulings by these judges that has not been overruled...

Congress needs to stop the judge shopping by these unelected NGO's....

The good news is that the NGO's that are bringing these cases to the lib judges are going broke....

Trump is infamous for willfully violating the law.

The illegal use of Federal troops to enforce domestic laws is further proof that Trump is a fascist thug.
Wrong....Trump is using the rule of law, by using the Constitution.

Your ilk has no clue any longer what the Constitution allows, and what authority is granted to the president.

Those are sanctuary national guards. They can enforce the law because the sanctuary status protects them from punishment.

I have no problem with all illegals going to California...as long as they stay there and no federal funding is used to support them.
I dont agree

40% of the American citizens in california are conservative and deserve better treatment than the lib majority is affording them

Not to mention how important california is to the US economy
