Until I did some research and found that Chicago wasn't completely safe and happy on the streets, I can't upon a neighborhood in Chicago that they used to refer to as Little Hell. It was a neighborhood in the late 19th century and early 20th that newspapers and politicians and everybody referred to as little hell. I uploaded an episode describing some of the scenes that happened in the area to give an idea of then that's a simple life and some of their neighborhoods had been. Here's a link.Little Hell Neighborhood Chicago. It's the first time I did an episode like this one. Let me know if it is lame or if you have any stories or insight of the neighborhood. Chicago is rough now and it has been for a while.

Daughter freaked me out by announcing she and the gf were going to Chicago. Thankfully they stayed on the river walk
Chicago isn't that bad. It is not like every single human being is affected by crime every single day. Maybe some people never experience crime or are affected by it. But it does happen. It happened in history too, as I posted in the video. I would do more interview videos but some neighborhoods are so dangerous I don't want to get robbed or killed, which is very likely for somebody like me.

Why would anyone want to visit Chicago?

Its as dangerous if not more so than the 1920’s Prohibition Era

Suit yourself

They must be good if adventurers are willing to die for them
There's 178 neighborhoods in Chicago. A little less than half are too dangerous to walk through, other neighborhoods are mostly safe, then there's few that are in the middle of safety sometimes.

Deep dish sucks.
Absolutely not. Depends on where you get it from I guess. I prefer deep dish over thin. But some places are better than others. Also some chains are ran better than others. Lou Malnati's by me used to be phenomenal, some Mexican people bought it it looks like and now it is complete garbage I actually threw out my last pizza. First time I ever did that in my life. It was that bad. The floss more pizza for Lou Malnati's is also garbage. So it depends on where you go. You may have went to two or three bad places. It used to be good. A lot of things used to be good but we don't have the same Cooks as we used to have. James beard said tacos in Chicago we're better than Mexico some years back. At least we got that now.

We have a place Gino's East down the street from me in LA. It's supposed to be the best deep dish that Chicago has to offer. Way too much dough, and it's not fluffy like Sicilian. And it takes like 40 minutes to cook. I think it's just an excuse to make you drink more.

Then again, I'm a reformed NYer and pizza snob asshole, so a grain of salt is required.

Good music, good restaurants, lots of good people.

It depends on the location and the brand. So the guys by you may do a bad job, but a lot of deep dish are different. There's quite a few different types, and then everybody follows those best sellers formula. But not every cook is good or location, plus you may prefer one brand over another. I was going to marry a deep dish pizza it was so ******* good, but it turned on me and I threw it in the dumpster. Is one of the worst days of my life. I'll never forget that day. Food used to be way better in Chicago, but it's still a lot better than a little better places outside of the Chicagoland area

There is nothing special about the music or food in chicsgo that's worth dying for

There's a free neighborhoods that aren't terrible. I go over a couple on my channel. Although my last two episodes are exclusively history, the older ones aren't

“A few neighborhoods that arent terrible” does not inspire me to want to visit Chicago much less live there

I would never suggest to anyone to move to Chicago. The food is good in some places that haven't been turned to taco places yet, but I've given up on Chicago. Chicago is like an ex girlfriend who is sleeping with someone else that hates you. Haha I moved on already.
