That is a generic statistic. When people are asked to rate the President against their own Congressperson they consitantly rate their Congressperson higher than Bush.

1&3)Concerning Inflation and deficits. I don't see how voting for Democrats who are proposing even more spending is going to fix that problem, Mr. "we need to screw the people over with government run healthcare"

2)Democrats have controled Congress for two year. In their term gas prices have nearly doubled. How is voting for more of them going to fix the problem?

3)If anyone is on the verge of bankrupcy needs to get their act together or go bankrupt. Government needs have nothing to do with it.

Good points. Let us also state that it is Congress that has the power of the purse. They control spending. The Dems have had control for the last 2 years. Not the president. Vietnam ended because Congress voted to stop paying for it, not because the president called an end to it.

Every other Western democracy has a single payer healthcare system, and they pay half per capita what we pay for healthcare.

A single payer system will save us $200 billion dollars a year. Having 150 different insurance companies and the government pay for healthcare creates a huge redundency.

I dont... but then I live in SC. Demint and lindsey can kiss my white ass. So can the dem party in SC for not running strong candidates against them...

Truth is that republicans dont want to and or cant handle the truth. I've been in discussions with family members for over a month now on comparing and contrasting the two candidates... I've been kicking their ass with the facts being in Obama's favor. Lower taxes, Universal health insurance, Macs lack of voting record in support of the Military, govt contract budgeting oversight, tax reform, etc...

What I get in return is Barack is a muslim, communist, socialist, his judges would legislate from the bench, and immigrants are destroying this country. Nothing but lies and smear... thats it.. thats all you guys have.. FACTS are lost on you guys.

As I see it, the ultimate problem is that at one time both parties were nationalistic enough to think in terms of what was best for the nation oeverall.

Now, to be candid, I don't think the leadership of either party much cares about the nation, and certainly they don't take into account what their idiotic policies are doing to the people of this nation.

I don't just fault the Republicans for this, I just think they're more overtly indifferent than the Ds.

Hey! Let's re-elect the Republicans!

This is how dumb the American voters are. 2 months from election day the GOP lowers gas a couple pennies and they finally show progress in Iraq, so now the voters are going to reward them. Then 2 days after election day the gas prices will go to $5 a gallon and we will start a war with Russia, for the next 3.5 years things will be bad, then they will show progress 2 mopnths before the 2012 election.

PS. I heard Bush signed a timetable to withdraw and it looks an awful lot like Obama's timetable.

But Bush made it his idea. Thom Hartmann said this would all happen.

Telling the truth and advocating freedom of choice is not a smear campaign. I know you like pretending that anyone who disagrees with your failed policies is trying to attack you personally. It's a nice way to avoid facts. Everyone is smearing you so you can ignore what they say.

American seniors go to Mexico and Canada to buy their drugs because they are cheaper there.

How is that "competition produces lower prices" thing working out?
