Obviously, one is seeking revenge against those who had the audacity to speak out about his crimes/corruption (Schiff), resist it (Comey), or prosecute it (James, Willis).

But is that the only one? From the first impeachment to the more recent indictments brought by Jack Smith Don has tried to make the case, over and over, that........"I did nothing wrong."
It appears he believes if he can assassinate the character the people on his enemies list his claims of being victimized will be vindicated. It's essentially an exercise in revisionist history. More importantly, it's a substitute for his inability to show he was unjustly prosecuted. Because, as always, the facts are not on his side. Leaving smears against his detractors is all he has.
The problem for trump, and his followers, is Adam Schiff's guilt or innocence for mortgage fraud has no bearing on the accuracy of the criticisms directed at trump. Fani Willis's affair with someone in her office does not make trump and his co-conspirators innocent of the charges they faced in GA.
