Regardless of the merits of invading Iraq in 2003, the ensuing occupation of that country by US forces was an avoidable fiasco that has impacted our foreign policies ever since. The idea of changing a tribal country into a functioning democracy was a fantastic pipe dream that had no chance of ever coming into fruition. Instead, Iraq should have been partitioned into several more homogeneous regions (e.g., Kurdish, Baghdad, North and South) whose borders could be monitored by air rather than US boots on the ground.

This lesson should now be applied to the Iran war. A unified Iran will never be more than one revolution away from becoming a threat to world peace and commerce. The US strategy should now be to section off Iran into areas of local control while cutting off lines of communication and cooperation. "Divide and conquer" is a time-tested method of achieving your objectives.

Yeah, how did that work out for the Brits regarding the Levant?

Iran is not, and never has been a threat to Americans or the American government.

We all know that making Iran and the Republic of Türkiye into failed states like Syria is ultimately the goal of the Zionists.

If they want that goal, they should do it themselves.

I referred to Iran as "a threat to world peace and commerce." Do you have a cognitive impairment?

hmmmm. . . how many wars has Iran started in the last few decades?

. . . and the Zionists?

Only low IQ schmucks bleev that propaganda line.

Israel and America seem to be the ones starting all the wars.

There certainly have been several deja vu moments:
  • "They're an imminent threat"
  • "The cost doesn't matter"
  • "If you don't agree with the war, you hate America"
  • "If you don't agree with the war, you support radical Islam".
Same people, of course.
So true. These same idiots in 5 years will say how they were deceived just like in Iraq. They will lie and say how they are against war, but when they are in power will all become warmongers once again. These MAGA/neocon sheeple will never learn.
