This one hit hard here as this was a local star. Played HS school ball up the street and lost the state championship to my old team and coach and he played college ball right down the street at U of MD.
And Maryland’s current tone-deaf governor/drug kingpin pardoned hundreds of drug convictions to honor the date of June 19.

Len Bias: Remembering the person 40 years later - Andscape

Len Bias' 1986 death and the subsequent fallout has reduced the Maryland star to a tragic symbol. He should be remembered as more than that.
