been saying that for yrs,,

maybe not for temp services but after so many yrs you should lose your right to vote more so if every aspect of your life is being paid for by the government/tax payers,,

free stuff for your vote should be illegal, that is basically a bribe which is illegal

I agree that it shouldn't be legal to buy somebody's vote, but OP what is your stance on the disabled, elderly, and US veterans getting extra help? I fall within the first category myself.

Yeah, but how does that answer my question? As people forget that there are people out there who actually need this stuff, it's just the people taking advantage of the system that should be cut off from it.

For Non Veterans, 1 year on the dole means you give up the franchise until you are off the dole.

More carve outs can be made, but on a category by category basis, and most of the aid the elderly get isn't the dole, it's entitlements like Medicaid and social security.
