You really are ******* demented. No one is saying Democrats back then were really Republicans. We're pointing out that Democrats back then were made up mostly of conservative southerners.

He said Democrats were made up mostly of conservative Southerners. There's nothing bigoted in that, though to be correct Democrats were nationwide, not just in the South, and the Southern wing was always by nature the conservative one, forever at odds with those in the same party in other parts of the country. I already mentioned that -- it's why they had that schism in 1948 and as far back as 1860, as well as the smaller ones in our lifetimes with Wallace -- who, like the rest of the conservative South, continually railed against "Liberals".

That was before you moved here though, so you go ahead and tell us about our own history.

That's ok. I think it's cute when someone calls black people brainwashed because they don't support the folks that fought to keep them enslaved while calling someone a bigot for pointing out the south, which seceded from the nation to maintain their grip on slavery, was largely racist.
