Money isn't going to fix this-------anything built there will be destroyed again. Who wants to live in terror? Until ----the criminals are dealt with permanently (and if)-----no amount of money matters. Sending money there would only mean that there is more to steal and more reason to keep terrorizing the city.

You sound upset....were their cases dismissed because they are leftists or because those charged couldn't be proven to have committed the crimes?

$22 million in damages and the w post still calls them protests.

Putting large windows on the lowest floor in multi story buildings will not suffice anymore. Many you can not tear down. Bricking them up on the first floor would be the prudent thing to do. Securing entrances with good riot deterrent materials would at least delay entrance into the buildings. Of course police would have to take it from there. But they are not allowed to do so. Good infrastructure means nothing when you run areas like Beirut.
