They were legally supposed to disarm back in '82, '06 and '14. All other factions were for the most part disarmed. Some still kept limited amounts for "protection" but that is around 10% of what they used to have. Hezbullah has increased their arm supply. They are better armed than the military in rockets and guns. Military have planes and mostly helicopters but are also far fewer in personnel numbers. They also have SAM missiles from Syria/Russia.

Who is going to disarm them? The 800 UN monitors, many of which are not even armed?
