Hmm, wonder if we will see something like this along the coasts of America where people have areas where they are allowed to camp for days on the sands if they make a reservation.

Camping gets an upgrade as RVs roll into Israel with a new take on caravan living

IÂ’d never spent a night in a motor home. Camping? Sure, there was that one night in a tent on a ridge overlooking the Ramon Crater, and a long-ago slumber party in the Sinai. But me and the family in one cramped vehicle, where the table folds into a bed and I get to empty the toilet? Not exactly my idea of a vacation.
This particular RV, however, looked a little different. In fact, it appeared to signal the arrival of glamping – glamorous camping — in Israel.
It began with Israelis who had experienced caravan camping abroad and wanted to do the same back home. At the same time, the Tourism Ministry wanted to offer less expensive and more nature-oriented tourism options, and decided to push the caravan camping concept.
Now the ministry is working to better equip the countryÂ’s camping grounds, offering grants to entrepreneurs looking to establish camping and caravan sites.
