Zone1 LDS members raise nearly $300,000 for the family of the man who murdered LDS members and burned down our church

A guy at the pawn shop mentioned that this morning and I sat quietly as I just figured he misread/misheard something.

Seems really odd at first blush but I sorta get it.

Maybe it's just the CLDS practicing what they preach. :dunno:

Seems the times have changed in the LDS community.
When I lived in SLC in the mid 60's, they would certainly
take care of their own IF, that family was in good standing
with the church.

I believe that at least the mother was. As such she may have reached out for help before the murders.

Well, there's many more members than in the 60's. About 16-17 million more around the world. Many are successful and have money for charity. Back then, the Church wasn't nearly as rich and so it was that you had to be a member paying their tithing in order to receive welfare from the Church. Even in the 80's this was still true. Now, many who are not members receive assistance. But, the liberals think the rich should give up their money, all of it.
