Law Professor Jonathan Turley Dismantles the Trump Indictment: ‘The American People Aren’t Buying It’

There's no criminal charge for violating the ECA. The Senate Dems did not admit the statute was ambiguous enough to allow for the President's "interpretation" and
??? So why are they rewriting the statute to clarify the role of the Vice President? They don't amend statutes jst for fun.

even the president's co-conspirators admitted in writing that they would be asking Pence to violate the law.

I missed the part where several of Trump's "conspirators admitted in writing that they would be asking Pence to violate the law." Care to cite?
No one can bring charges against anyone based on fraud. Bringing fraudulent charges against people would be actually depriving them of their constitutional rights.

Do you really want to live in a country where the former president can change the outcome of an election to stay in office? Is that really what you want?
If the election was fraudulently conducted? Absofuckinglutely. Do you want someone that not legitimately elected sitting in the White House? Someone that is only there as a result of election fraud? Really?

Challenging the outcome of an election is not automatically changing it. All Trump wanted is a fair accounting in light of the obvious changing of normal States election procedures.
It’s pretty clear that all Trump wanted was to win.

In case another corrupt president tries the same shit and has a vice president who is also corrupt. Better safe than sorry.

That’s probably because you didn’t read the indictment. It might help if you start there. Look at paragraph 89.

The election wasn’t fraudulently conducted.

1) so to make it illegal? Since it wasn’t? Gotcha

Um and that’s different from any one else that runs for office? Do you think people run to lose?
Other people don’t engage in conspiracy theories to defraud the electorate by reversing the election result.

LOL

DO you think condescending insults helps you piss poor arguments? Particularly when yuour bullshit isn't supported by paragraph 89. ONly one conspiritor and nothing about Pence violating the law.
The election wasn’t fraudulently conducted.
Well, we'll find out in the coming year or so, won't we?

Real lawyers knew it was a violation of law. So did Eastman.

The paragraph says that they acknowledge that the vice president would be violating the law.

The vice president is Pence.

Here’s an article that lays it out pretty clearly.

We already know Trump’s claims were lies.

He was a mainstay on Rachael Maddow and Keith Oberman for years…he’s only consider a conservative by the demafasict because he’s called out their assault on the republic and rule of law

Yeah. He worked in the very Liberal Reagan Administration.

LOL So that's why Congress is re-writing the law. For the non-real lawyers in the DOJ. JFC
The paragraph says that they acknowledge that the vice president would be violating the law.
Nope. Again, which words are you having problems with? Only one co-conspirator cited and s/he wrote noting about "violating the law." You should really stop pretending to understand the law, you making quite the ass of yourself.

The vice president is Pence.

Well that’s problem for Eastland not his client that trusted his advice

Perfect example of you blaming others for what you yourself did.
That's what Trump did, and got you to follow him.... He defamed us and Nation with his false allegations of theft and stealing the election from him, while he proceeded to actual try to illegally steal the election from us. This is not a man worthy of anything, and he brought utter shamelessness and disgrace to the office of the presidency! He really really really did! :(

Prior to interning during the Reagan admin at the General Counsels Office he was a Page on the Hill, for dem congressman Sidney Yates
The dude has been a liberal all his life. Same with Dershowitz. Problem is that there are very few liberals left in Congress or on the left in general.
