They didn't nothing to challenge that idiot Sanders on how much was the massive free government giveaway programs that he was proposing were going to cost the American people. How dumb is that?

Democrats have a strong protectionist streak. That kills the free trade argument

Every tax reform mentioned includes doing away with the progressive tax system. Most democrats prefer the progressive tax. So tax reform is half dead.

By the way, many conservatives have a strong protectionist streak as well. I find it a bit suicidal to sell free trade to most Americans, especially now when most Americans claim foreigners are stealing their jobs.

In order to win, You have to deal with present day political realities, not theoretical ideals that may take years to bloom.

FREE COLLEGE.

Sounds good when you are paying for your grown kids' college costs.

But even a moment's reflection SHOULD tell adults that there really is no such thing as a free lunch. If it doesn't cost the student a dime. And even if it doesn't cost their folks' a dime, you KNOW that the colleges are not going to to do what passes for educating the nation's college students for no charge. SOMEBODY is going to PAY them.

See? It isn't free. It never can be and it never will be free.

So, then the HONEST question becomes (duh) WHO does do that "paying" thang?

And the honest ANSWER is we ALL will.

To do so, TAXES across the ******* board WILL get raised. The "us versus them" frauds of the socialist Party (a/k/a the "Democrat" Party) will CERTAINLY seek to soak the "rich." You know the drill: the 1% folks. And the always evil "corporations." They will yammer to get the "people" to "demand" that "those" folks "pay their fair share."

It will not even dimly dawn on our Socialist Party (i.e., Democrat Party) brethren that there comes a point where the corporations will move their plants and offices to other nations. And when the rich folks start losing not only a massive portion fo whatever they EARN but also an ever increasing portion of what they already fairly OWN, they too will cease being the geese laying their golden eggs. (Once cooked, these geese have a troubling way of failing to lay their eggs.)

All of this is pretty obvious. There is no mystery to any of it. There really isn't. Yet not one of the bubble brained socialists on the stage last night would ever DARE to even so much as allude to any of it.

****. It's hard enough to get a Republican to address such matters. There's NO CHANCE of ever getting a modern day Democratic to do so.
