Because guns are not necessary in a civilized society. Too much room for human error. I live here in Ireland where most of the police do not carry firearms. That is really impressive.

Also....in our country....according to bill clinton's Department of Justice study on gun self defense, designed and implemented by two anti gun researchers....guns in America are used 1.5 million times a year to stop violent criminal attack. Do you think those people should just submit to those violent attackers? Or is it better to just quietly accept rape, robbery and murder as the British instruct their citizens to do?

Do you realize that studies show that the most effective way to stop rape is if a woman uses a gun....and since you guys are importing a rape culture into your society...you might look into that.....

How about Europe?

Britian is more violent than the U.S. Their criminals can get guns easily, as easily as our criminals do they just have a different culture. Their culture is influenced by their history of feudalism and the destruction of the 2 world wars.....

We as people do not have the respect for central authority that the Europeans do and have not been cowed into pacifism by the destruction of our countries through war the way they have.

And again....their criminals get guns easily....fully automatic rifles and grenades....they just don't use them as often.
