CNBC reporter Brian Schwartz broke the news Thursday that the major retailer was "opting out of sponsoring Donald Trump's Republican National Convention" later this summer, he wrote on X.

My wife shops at Kohl's and so I'm glad they weren't a sponsor. It is Kohl's customers that eventually foot the bill for such sponsorships.
