Koch Brothers Freeze Out Donald Trump

Not one source attributed to anyone within the Koch Industry.

You mean besides the fact that Donald Trump was turned down to speak at a grass-roots event next month in Columbus, Ohio? or the three day meeting in Orange County, CA? or that i360 has refused comment on why Trump was declined services? those attributions in the linked article?

Turned down or not invited?

I'm sure many were not invited and many were turned down.

It's nothing personal, just business.

Non-admission of something is not an admission of anything.

The GOP has just admitted that it is controlled by the Koch bros. :D

And by dissing T-Rump they are almost certain to give him the motivation to run as a 3rd party candidate.

Which means that the GOP with lose in 2016 and the Koch's will have wasted another couple of billion without realizing their dream of destroying American by turning it into a Libertarian nightmare.

Sounds like a win-win for the Dems.
^ that

As Derideo_Te said, he will split the vote and the opposing candidate from the other side will win
It's the only way the other side can win. Hence the desperation from the left to see Trump continue.

I think the man polling ahead of everyone else in the GOP field should not be ignored especially since he filled out the questionnaire fully expecting an invite. All of the other candidates including the Koch disliked Jeb Bush, along with Carly Fiorina and Rand Paul were invited so there is clearly a problem.

That isn't desperation, it is glee! :D

And even if T-Rump were to pack it in and leave now the damage is already done.

There is so much footage of T-Rump now that the Dems hardly know which are the best bits to use against the GOP.

The only way the other side can win? If the candidate is Jeb Bush, the party is split, if it's Scott Walker the party is split, Kasich should be a good candidate but again the party is split. At least Trump unites more than he divides the party. So how does that drive the left to champion someone who will beat them?

I think you are mixing up "control" versus "influential"

The Koch Bros are both influential and supportive of the GOP. However, they are using that influence to help push Trump away from it, probably in partnership with the GOP leadership.

However, Trump does not have the personality to take this laying down.

Exactly, Pumping $889 million into just the runup to 2016 is as influential as it gets.

Yes, influential! Highly influential!!
However, the GOP can still refuse the offer, so it is not control.

I don't think Walker splits the party. I think he's a crook, literally, but I also think he'll be the nominee eventually, and that he'll beat Hillary.

The Koch Brothers better be nice to The Donald or he will go third party on them

The GOP has just admitted that it is controlled by the Koch bros. :D

How so?

Per the OP:

"the Koch political operation appears to have concluded that Trump is the wrong standard-bearer for the GOP. "

That's the Koch Bros' decision and their money to do with what they please, just like any other donor or PAC. How does that translate into the GOP admitting the Koch Bros allegedly control their party? I saw no such admission made by any member of the GOP anywhere.
You'll never get the far left off that talking point.

OK, we recognize you are not a zealot for Trump!!

Now please let us have fun with the Trump candidacy while it last.

Its not like you don't get a joke or two in yourself. :doubt:

Kochs want a Candidate they can control like Cruz, Rubio or Walker, in all fairness Jeb and Trump won't follow Koch different reasons.

Trump is lovable in the way he has no filter and just calls everyone out for a street fight.

Bush is just keeping his head down for the moment until a vast majority of the real crazies are gone. He knows that videos of him arguing with an idiot will hurt him nationally. Bush is here to win the national not look good in the primaries. That is where Mitt went wrong, he went too far in the primaries and couldn't roll back enough in the nationals.

Hillary is doing the same on the Dem side. She isn't following Sanders into the woods with anything that is not center left.

Jeb has the means and the Bush organization to stay ahead of T-Rump in the delegate count and that is all that matters.

Getting into a food fight with T-Rump is a waste of time but the other 15 or so hopefuls don't have a choice.

Yes, but Jeb does have a Mexican wife and "liberal" views on immigration reform.

So the GOP is controlled by the Koch brothers and the DNC is controlled by Soros.
Why do we continue to vote for them?
Big money controls both parties and nothing is going to change this until we stop voting for either one.

We the People need to make it clear to our elected representatives that Citizens United needs to be eliminated.

Of course not. The lefties on this board make up shit as they go.

If it were true I doubt Trump gives a shit what the Koch brothers have to say. He's a billionaire and he sure as shit don't need their money.

He's saying things that those polled seem to like as he's leading in the national polls.

That would also include the Unions.

No one made up any "shit" you can read the sourced article if you want and whether or not you accept it is entirely up to you, but any war with the Koch brothers is a loser unless you think the $889 billion they spend to influence the election is completely wasted money.
