False allegations (false witness) need to be met with serve penalties, at least as severe as what the accused was charged with.

I hope this woman makes millions from this wrongful prosecution. I hope most of it comes from the "mental health professionals".

Should be noted that this is from 2010.

Bearing false witness has no expiration date.....I wonder if she got paid?

She sued for $25 million. She became a lawyer and wrote a book. She was able to pay her parents back the money for her defense.

All over the false belief that kids would never touch each other unless someone taught them to.

The problem is that once something like this starts, no matter how flimsy the "evidence" is, it takes on a life of its own. No one wants to be the cop who says, "this evidence is flimsy," or the social worker who says, "kids will lie if they think you want them to," or the prosecutor who says, "we can't get a conviction based on this," or the judge who says, "this case doesn't hold water." Public figures are terrified of being accused of covering up for pedophiles.

The cry is "let the jury decide," which sounds good, but is damn costly and risky for the people accused.
