Go on youtube and search for "California walk through" videos etc. You will see many of them, most of them will be positive. However, often even the positive videos give you a realistic view of how Cali has changed, especially for those who grew up there.

Detailed explanations of the same places they grew up in that are now inhabitable. You see barracaded storefronts, people high on whatever Americas enemies shipped into the U.S, descriptions of a state too expensive for citizens to afford to live in be it housing or energy costs etc.

Well, yes, there are other states in which there is poverty but that is because they don't receive a great amount of government support as Cali does. More importantly, the cost of living isn't comparable. Being poor in a poor state is at least an easier proposition to meet ones basic needs.

Texas, on the other hand, has much higher rates of murder and violent crime, much higher rates of mass shootings, much higher rates of unnecessary deaths from the complications of child birth, and a failing power grid.

Texas is also the only red state which contributes more in federal taxes. Then it takes from the federal treasury.

If not for blue states and their net contributions to th federal treasury, your nation would have gone broke years ago.

I have already recommended for one to search for California Walk Through on youtube. It is unbiased search and you can learn from those locals who walk through, including the history of the state which in and of itself may be the most interesting and dynamic of all the states in their union.

People from California are beautiful people. So welcoming and warm. A product perhaps of their hippie lineage I don't know but they are definitely the most laid back and jovial of citizens. This surely decreases as the cost of living skyrockets. This cost of living assertion increase is indisputable.

I speak from first hand experience peaking to many Americans on the phone who live in California that they were always my favourite to speak with. Peculiarly enough followed by Texas where people were polite and down to earth. My personal experiences with Americans was greatly subsidized by these direct conversations with them even as my co-workers showed disdain at times, much to my disagreement. I have had literally tens of thousands of conversations with Americans.

Regardless, I have always rooted for California and I almost accepted a job offer there in my 20s which would have changed my life forever, for the better I would expect. It is the place of innovation. It is going to lose this once unequaled outlook on life due to the Groupthink there. The drive of foreign agents and compromised political agendas has hurt California.

Ultimately, if you don't have free thought, debate, differences of expression and creativity, well, you lose all that made you once a giant among mortals. When Musk says he is done with Cali and heading to beautiful Texas, these politicians and scholars should pay attention.
