"Unease at F.B.I. Intensifies as Patel Ousts Top Officials

Senior executives are being pushed out and the director, Kash Patel, is more freely using polygraph tests to tamp down

on news leaks about leadership decisions and behavior.

Before being confirmed as the director of the F.B.I., Kash Patel made clear his intent to remake it in his own image, reflecting a larger desire by the White House to bend the agency to its will.
“The F.B.I. has become so thoroughly compromised that it will remain a threat to the people unless drastic measures are taken,” he wrote in his book “Government Gangsters,” asserting that the top ranks of the bureau should be eliminated.

Behind the scenes, his vision of an F.B.I. under President Trump is quietly taking shape. Agents have been forced out. Others have been demoted or put on leave with no explanation. And in an effort to hunt down the sources of news leaks, Mr. Patel is forcing employees to take polygraph tests.

Taken together, the moves are causing worrisome upheaval at the F.B.I., eliciting fear and uncertainty as Mr. Patel and his deputy, Dan Bongino, quickly restock senior ranks with agents and turn the agency’s attention to immigration. Their persistent claims that the bureau was politicized under previous directors, in addition to their swift actions against colleagues, have left employees to wonder whether they, too, will be ousted, either because they worked on an investigation vilified by Trump supporters or had ties to the previous administration."

The NYT's panic is a good sign that the Deep State is getting gutted. Hopefully, grand juries are working behind the scenes investigating the DOJ/FBI's lawfare campaign against Biden's political opponents.

Well on the plus side, as long as he is going after his own people, he isn't going after the rest of us infidels

Well, more power to him, I'm just surprised that he would rely on polygraphs to fire people. It wouldn't surprise me if many appealed their dismissal based on the polygraph alone. It has value, but is not infallible.

Polygraphs are unscientific mumbo-jumbo, hence why you can’t use the results in court.

Yup. Last night we watched the movie "All the President's Men" that is the story of Bob Woodward and Carl Bertstein's investigative reporting (WAPO) that brought down a corrupt Nixon Administration.

As I was watching that dramatization it reminded me of my own time as an investigative reporter when newspapers and television stations took pride in honorable investigations and the integrity of their editorial pages/departments. WAPO was still an honorable institution of competent journalism and ethics in those days. Alongside her was the "gray lady" the "New York Times" that was the standard bearer for good newspapers all over the world.

How low both have now sunk, no longer credible, no longer ethical as they have become part of the propaganda machine for a corrupt Democrat Party. And yes, if the NYT is denigrating something, it is a pretty safe bet that something is doing something worthwhile and honorable.

They use them all the time in the FBI & CIA.

....and then we can go after the people on Epstein's list. Right?

Did you read the OP article by chance??? The one that quotes the FBI's polygraph official? :laughing0301:

Never on court. Why do you suppose that is?

And oh by the way

The FBI has had issues but by and large it is the best intelligence service on the planet… or was until this bunch of freaks took it over

Because it can be beat, if you know how. ;)

The FBI has a counterintelligence mission.
