According to witness testimony, Anthony was there putting down the Memorial football team, saying "you are all Ass"-- stands to reason knowing how kids are, thats enough to get a reaction. Also WTF did Anthony bring a knife to a track meet?
If I was going to give Anthony a defence, I would say he was just a stupid teen, kind of looking for trouble.
I have a feeling.. possibly he didnt realize that a single stab to the chest might kill someone from his later comments. The stab had to be just in the right spot to make it to his heart.

It seems like Anthony was visiting a friend. That happens at track meets. I did it in high school. We would often visit the other teams between events. If Metcalf had a problem, why wouldn't he go to a coach or another adult who had authority?
