This plagiarism thing for bookwriters is a MAJOR thing. Especially in non-fiction books where bibliography is nothing more than having an add on app to your word processing software.

IOW in order to NOT cite sources and attribute them properly you have to turn off the software. It's not easy any other way. The add on app is also freeware. Meaning that it's free.

Meaning that the plagiarism was most definitely intentional and deliberate. (My wife is a professional writer of non-fiction)

Unfortunately I know way too much about this and other topics. It's not exactly fun information to have at parties.

My only real background was MLA back in college and apparently did that correctly on research papers, never writing a book. MLA was the thing back then. Yes, I know that dates me. I am somewhat familiar with citations in the work, in the footnotes and making a bibliography, though after attempting to help granddaughter, I am aware, MLA not the thing anymore, nor is my Harbrace Manual from back then. I guess, I will have to wait until the author of the work files their lawsuit, if they are feeling aggrieved, or wonder if the charge is being leveled by some partisan dude, supporting the other side.

It just demonstrates that even in 2009, Kamala didn't have an original idea without copying from someone else. Just like she did with her website and just like she's done with several of her proposed 'policies' today (i.e. increase child tax credit, don't tax tips, etc.)
