We're ok with common sense gun laws. We have had common sense guns laws for a vee long time. And for a very long time they were just fine. What we really want though is no more criminals, dopeheads and crazy people running around. They are the ones who go out and use guns to hurt other people and if you get rid of them then we wouldn't need any gun laws because only decent members of society will be left

It has happened in my lifetime.

I'm only 48 but I still remember being in kindergarten to highschool and I don't remember hearing about school shootings, never saw a cop or a metal detector in a school or any of that.

There wasn't any of those things up till the past 20 years. Well unless you're in a ghetto inner-city where it's full of savage animals. But the vast majority of America never had those problems.

So have had a safe society before, no reason we can't again. If our society got rid of criminals, dopeheads and crazy people and we raised kids to be better people we wouldn't need more guns or more gun control.

You've resigned yourself to believing America is beyond repair and that the only answer is more guns, more deterrents, more rules and so on. All of those things do nothing to make America safer, all they are is ways for us to live with crime.
