Not for parents earning $400,000! That’s where fhe cut-off is. As it stands now, a retiree on a fixed income of $50,000 is helping support the children of a doctor or lawyer!

If Vance's CTC plan goes through, there would no longer be income restrictions. Harris has not called for any change to the income rules for the CTC, which would keep the current guideline that only couples making $400,000 or less, or individuals earning $200,000 or less, can receive the credit.

Yes, I dislike that. I never said that I would agree with all policies of the candidate I support. Another one I am opposed to is the no-tax-on-tips: around here, servers are paid $15 hour, and can easily collect another $25 an hour in tips. Why should people with incomes of $80,000 get to exempt the majority of it from taxes?

It’s a matter of priorities: my two priorities are 1) sealing the border and beginning to deport the criminal illegals, and 2) standing with Israel - as opposed to placating HAMAS supporters - and fighting the antisemitism raging through the country. Trump is the clear winner on both issues.

I don't agree with the no tax in tips either. Mainly because I don't trust companies to find workarounds and take advantage of it.

I wouldn't be surprised if that law passed that Bill Gates and Elon musk wouldn't find a way to get paid in tips.

Trump already had a crack at the border. He also had a Republican house and Senate his first two years.

I'm tired of waiting for a president to fix the border. All presidents can do is EOs. I want legislation from Congress so it becomes law, not a bandaid.

I thought Dems did stand with Israel. Isn't that why the Hamas protestors are protesting? Hasn't Biden been assisting Israel?
