"Members of the Lonoke community are outraged and demanding answers after the death of a teenage boy at the hands of a Lonoke County sheriff's deputy. Arkansas State Police reported that 17-year-old Hunter Brittain was pulled over for a traffic stop around 3 a.m. at a local auto shop. That's when Sgt. Michael Davis reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the teenager. Family members said that there was a 15-year-old boy in the passenger seat with Hunter that told them everything that happened.
“Justice looks like this officer getting what’s coming to them, just like any one of us would if we shot and killed somebody,” Jesse said.“This is happening all across the country and this is happening too close to home for us,” Harley said. Harley Brittain, Hunter’s other uncle, said this incident shows a need for law enforcement reform.
Family members said Hunter was unarmed and no weapon was found at the crime scene. Staley said that body camera footage was turned over to state police before he could watch it."
Apparently according to the witness; Hunter's truck had transmission problems that made it difficult to put it in park. When pulled over he tried to stop the truck rolling back...he tried to put something behind the tire to stop it from rolling back and hitting the police car and was shot ...
If true, then yes -- Hunter's family definitely deserves justice...the body cam footage will reveal what really happened...sad part is, if hunter had did nothing and his truck rolled back into the police car -- he still could have been shot since the cop could still claim he feared for his safety...
