Justice Dept. Revives Push to Mandate a Way to Unlock Phones
WASHINGTON — Federal law enforcement officials are renewing a push for a legal mandate that tech companies build tools into smartphones and other devices that would allow access to encrypted data in criminal investigations.



One way to beat this, don't own a cell phone they then can not spy on you track you follow you via your cell phone. It helps the companies lose profit right with it.

Some company just developed a device that can unlock iPhones. It comes at a cost. $15 grand for 300 unlocks, or $30 grand for unlimited. I am sure many departments will find the money for it.
