When it comes to the budget, I’m referring to the fact that discretionary spending isn’t all that much and deficits are driven by entitlements. If you eliminated all discretionary spending, which you aren’t going to do, you’d still have to cut more. Add to that trillion dollar DoD budgets and let’s not even get started on the revenue loss of tax cuts.

Government is in the unique position that they can simply demand more money for their out of control spending and corruption by raising taxes. That is easy, thus why they continue to spend more and more and cheat more and more. They aren’t held accountable.

As for entitlement spending, a large portion of that is SS/Medicare and Medicaid. Musk points out where we are clearly wasting money in these areas and you guys go absolutely crazy. Nobody has said we are going to cut spending by taking money away from those who deserve it, but it makes perfect sense to rid these entities nets of fraud. The problem is, Democrats contribute to it by their policies(illegal immigration, for example) and then deny it even exists. That is an ineffective, childish and ignorant approach.

I am not at all opposed to making the military more efficient either. I am not naive enough to believe that there isn’t waste and fraud going on there as well.

There is a reason that most “small” business owners are Republican. Many of these are in the top 1-5% and they know how business works. The government is not a business per se, but can be compared to a non-profit in many ways.

Honestly, most of the problem with Democrats is they rely too heavily on academia for their information. Most of these people have zero real world experience. They have never left the friendly confines of the university setting. They are protected from reality. They are free to ponder and pontificate. That is what they get paid to do. The problem is that theory and reality are often very different things, but many of those in academia are not willing or able to recognize this fact. They believe they are wiser than everybody else, but there is absolutely no substitute for real world experience, thus why those with real world experience are more often Republican.

Musk "points out" things but has never delivered any actual tangible plan or results. As you should have realized by now, he says a lot of shit that just ain't so. Social security has little waste or fraud. Administrative costs are miniscule and fraud is quite minimal, to the point that finding it could cost as much as the fraud itself. You're going to have a hard time cutting Medicare in any meaningful way. The best savings would be to end Medicare Advantage which is wasteful, but it's also extremely popular and would be very disruptive to many millions of seniors. Medicaid is your juiciest target, and that's where they'll focus. The only real way to save money is to just kick people off or cost shift to states. The vast majority of Medicaid is spent on senior citizens, disabled and children. Good luck.

Most small business owners are Republican because it's beneficial for their pocket book. Republicans offer lower taxes, lower costs. They oppose minimum wages, having to provide benefits and obey regulations that cost them money. It's not that complicated. I agree that Obama's economy was improving when Trump took office, thanks to the fact the GOP took Congress a couple years before hand.

Xiden handed Trump an economy where a majority of Americans were worse off then before he took office.

Prices have been coming down since Trump took office we have a March inflation rate of 2.4 percent, it was 3.0 in Jan, 2.8 in Feb. That's called winning.
