It seems that country's leaders, their interests tend to be at odds with those of the country that they are elected to serve. People always assume that presidents/prime ministers try to do what's best for their country, this is very naive. Most leaders only care about lining their pockets/gaining power for themselves and their cronies...etc. If they actually did something good for the country, it was entirely by accident.
