To my knowledge, the CDC has never talked to us like adults and given efficacy numbers for jack shit. It's always a very unscientific -- "its very helpful".. Just ONCE I'd like to see a NUMERICAL comparison between cloth mask, an N95 and the Fauci special DOUBLE masking.. LOL..

I never thought I’d see the politics infiltrate the medical community like this, just because doctors still have to see and treat patients and whatever works, works. I’ve always afforded a little wiggle room for giving a patient the expensive OG drug when a generic would suffice, and/or some most likely unnecessary vaccinations, and that sort of thing. But we’ve crossed a line now. There are two types of doctors where I work. Those who are afraid to actually say “um that’s not actually how it works, and we should do this instead”, and those who have somehow completely forgotten their entire previous medical training in order to go along with the group think. We’re truly watching a live action milgram experiment take place, except people are actually dying for real this time.

In politics, a mandate is the authority granted by a constituency to act as its representative.

That means the government can issue a legal mandate to force people to wear masks. No where in anything so far discussed on the whole issue has the government guaranteed it will stop the covid.
They don't have to guarantee it because it is done on the best advice they can get.
When politicians are voted in on a promise to do what they said they would, that is called a mandate. They don't have to fulfill any of it and are never challenged over it.
Try to understand that it check it yourself.

Now if you don't like that, that's your choice. The whole world has adopted the practice yet you appear to have evidence it's totally useless.
I'll guess its because Biden said to wear it, you are resisting it and inventing stupid reasons not to. That's political, not logical.

All of my better docs have quit or are quitting. Since the intro of the "laptop" notebook, they spend more time following the SCRIPT for the patient interview and typing rather than observing.. The random prompts they get for asking questions about stuff other then why you booked a appointment is REALLY annoying and distracting from care. Like screening depression from COvid lock-down or even -- are there any guns in the house..

Not sure how many diagnosticians are left. I think it's all some AI on their laptop that does all the differentials and thinking.

If you are for masking in school now, you should have been for masking in school the past 50 years for the flu, or in 2010 for the swine flu, or you should have been against busses because they kill people too, or at least have kids wear helmets in busses.

I have seen elementary children wear masks over the course of a school year. It's at best okay; at worst disgusting. Like all things with Moral Panics--and that is this pandemic--we will look back and wonder what the hell we were thinking.

New study out that says at BEST, masks reduce spread by 10% and ventilation is better. I can tell you that it's not worth the trouble for children. Without a doubt.
