Jury deadlocked on Daniel Penny manslaughter trial

I know that now. Penny released him and sat him up in a recovery position and the guy was fine. Police arrived at the scene, checked him out, acknowledged he was OK, then REFUSED To give him mouth to mouth to help revive him because he looked dirty and might have cooties. Then they determined that he looked like a drug addict so gave him a shot of NORCAM used to revive people ODed on opioids and it was after that they took the guy away and THEN he died.

Conclusion: obviously the marine Penny must have killed him?! :uhh:

Something VERY fishy here.
If Penny was a black guy, we would never have heard of this case. There would have been no charges.

Sadly, if Penny had been a black guy, he never would have likely engaged the trouble maker at all, people on the train would have been hurt, and he would have walked off the train and just left. I mean, can anyone tell me the last time a black dude came to the civil defense of others in the public? If there is a case, I would bet dollars to donuts it was another guy from the military.

I wonder when the defense will accuse the prosecution of racial discrimination?

NOT CORRECT - and that shows the anti-white racism of the prosecutor.

Someone posted a VERY similar case, in which a black guy killed some crazed lunatic threatening passengers in…..you guessed it…..a NYC subway car. But in this case, it was worse, because the black guy saving the passengers violently stabbed the lunatic to death.

All charges were dropped against him.

I think I heard of that case and the prosecutor's rationale for dropping the charges was "restorative justice."

That’s because Bragg is a bigtime anti-white racist, and liberals in general go easier on blacks. The fact that Neely, with 42 arrests, was out on the streets is proof of that.
All of this is generally correct.

But Penny, however, did not have the cover of law to kill him.

I do, also, expect the jury to deadlock next week, and there will be no retrial.

If your spiel is accurate, you are right.

As usual, you compare apples and oranges.

In the case of Jordan, the man he killed attacked his girlfriend. He was responding to a LEGITIMATE threat. The charges were dropped because the grand jury failed to indict after reviewing the evidence. The Brooklyn DA DID file charges.

Should also point out that the Jordan case happened in Brooklyn, so it wasn't under Bragg's purview as a prosecutor.

Mr. Neely was threatening to kill other people.

Penny stepped in and stopped him.

It would have been smarter for Penny just to let Neely do his worst and ignore what was going on. That's what DA Al Bragg expected him to do.
Liberals don’t want to hear this logic. Penny should have whacked the killer wannabe and ran.

If he wasn't shot and killed on scene.

Never going to happen, he's already been cleared.

Penney cannot be charged with using excessive force. He isn't a police officer,
Excessive force violates the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which forbids unreasonable searches and seizures by law enforcement. Victims of excessive force by police can pursue a Section 1983 claim against the officer and potentially their employer. Section 1983 is a federal law (42 U.S.C.May 25, 2024

As I understand it now from listening to legal experts, it appears that the top charge of manslaughter was only dropped so they could consider lesser charges but that the jury probably does not understand that the judge is being sneaky in that after this trial, they can then bring up the case of manslaughter all over again and retry Penny for it again in a second trial!
libs are less than human. These legal games will eventually destroy them and their party.
