If you were at a party that you didn't have permission to attend or your parents would never allow you to attend, drinking even though you aren't old enough to drink and then ended up with someone sexually assaulting or raping you and you couldn't even try to fight them off because you were so intoxicated, you really think you'd want to make things even worse by telling Mom & Dad?

We're looking at the decisions that weren't made by individuals whom we don't deem mature enough to be able to legall drink or give consent in some cases and judging them by what we as adults would have or should have done. And even as adults some of us don't think it's worth the hassle to involve the police when nothing can be done about the incident if you can't prove it. That does not mean though that it did not happen.

Very true and still worthless since NONE of them are first hand witnesses of the alleged event. Have you heard of the HEARSAY rule that makes such support useless in court?

Since DR. Ford named FOUR people as witnesses including a long time female friend as being there, but those same people all say under oath as never being in the party she alleges happened.

Are you really going to go to all the girls' schools in Maryland and start interviewing girls who might have been at a party with him? I doubt if Kavanaugh's male friends/classmates would tell the FBI about how he acted when he was drunk.

In the early 90s a couple moved next door to us. He was in the Air Force.

They lived there for several years.

He seemed creepy to me but we tried to become friends.

It was when I was out in my front yard tending my roses when I heard him beating his dog. Yelling at the dog and literally beating that poor thing, the dog crying in fear and pain.

I stopped trying to be friends with them at that point.

They ended up moving away but less than a year later a person from the FBI showed up at my door asking me questions about him. He had a new job in the Air Force and needed a new security clearance. I didn't say one word about him beating his dog. I just said I didn't know them much and they were quiet neighbors.

I've felt bad that I didn't tell him my experience but I figured it wasn't my place to prevent him from getting that job.

People don't tell everything they know to the FBI. I know because I'm one of them.

Wouldn't she be an accessory to the fact, that since she did not report it, that she was either withholding something? Or maybe, she was too afraid so she just didn't bother to do anything about it; while other women were "supposely" were raped? She could have stopped that, right?
