Judge uses Hamilton quote as she slams Trump's grasp on reality

Irrelevant, Entirely irrelevant.

The US is still not a high tax nation, and ā€œfiat currencyā€ is for gold bugs.
Why do you think it's a good idea that the Fed (which is not even a part of the government) can just print endless money out of thin air.

ā€˜A federal judge on Friday night released her full opinion justifying an earlier decision to block President Donald Trump from deploying Texas National Guard troops in Chicago — and she even went so far as to question his administration’s grasp on reality.

In her ruling, Judge April Perry began by citing a lengthy quote from the Federalist Papers in which Alexander Hamilton addressed concerns that a tyrannical US president would use a militia from one state to invade and occupy another state. After giving the matter brief consideration, Hamilton dismissed fears about a would-be tyrant carrying out such a scheme on the grounds that ā€œit is impossible to believe that they would employ such preposterous means to accomplish their designs.ā€

And yet, Perry noted, this exact scenario is one that the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago claim is happening right now, as they argue that ā€œNational Guard troops from both Illinois and Texas have been deployed to Illinois because the president of the United States wants to punish state elected officials whose policies are different from his own.ā€

Perry went on to consider circumstances in which the president may federalize the National Guard, and concluded that the administration’s case for sending the National Guard to Chicago did not meet any of them.’

Consider the unsurprising hypocrisy of the right – conservatives as advocates of small government, as advocates of states’ rights, and as opponents of Federal tyranny and overreach.

Instead, conservatives are advocates of a tyrannical president who violates states’ rights and who engages in Federal excess and overreach – lawless, un-Constitutional, meritless Federal tyranny and authoritarianism.
Utter nonsense by an activist judge. The NATIONAL GUARD is not a state militia. It's even in the name. These 'rulings' lose all credibility when the 'judge' relies on emotional screed over clear black letter law. What a ******* disgrace.

It's actually very scary that someone like her is a judge and further, what can the people do to remove an obviously incompetent judge? Doesn't seem like there is anything Americans can do. Pretty worrying.

Terrible for quoting a founding father?

No. Terrible for thinking it's wrong to support and reinforce federal officials who are trying to protect the country.

Why do you lefties hate America so much? No, don't answer, because it's a rhetorical question.

I don't support the government using military goons on the citizens.

I will admit I am not fully up to date on the situation, but were the National Guards beating up on people? I believe they were only there to protect the other federal officials. Also, the ones they had to fight off, were probably not even American citizens. They were probably illegals.

That Trump wants to be a tyrannical president is evident to the entire world.

The only people who deny the obvious are the pseudo facists who worship this self proclaimed wannbe dictator.

How is he a wanna be dictator when he is using the power granted to him by the Constitution ?

At the end of his presidency Sleep Joe was even in control...he was a puppet of the agenda. His declining health that can no longer be hidden...is the proof.

Misquoting. This was a terrible 'ruling' that has no basis in reality. You loons are completely out of line with your blatant lies about what Trump is using the National Guard for. They are being used to protect ICE and government facilities, all of which are lawful functions. Too bad you loons are forced to lie because you really have no case. All of the liberal BS is in support of illegal alien rapists and child molesters; you must be so proud.

Sorry, but as Hamilton pointed out, the US military is not a domestic law enforcement organization.

Your beloved fuhrer seems to believe otherwise.

Indeed, the U.S. military is generally prohibited from engaging in domestic law enforcement due to the Posse Comitatus Act, but the Insurrection Act allows the president to deploy military forces to address domestic unrest under specific circumstances. This act serves as an exception to the general rule, enabling military intervention in crises that civilian authorities cannot manage.
Blue Sanctuary Plantation Cities Governors and Mayors refusing to allow Federal agency working with local law enforcement and access to enforce Federal law, i.e. Immigration Laws for Deportation are in violation of the law and considered rebellious.

Which, of course, has nothing whatsoever to do with what our President is attempting to do.

The judge doesn't have the power to determine Trump's justification. She only has the power to determine if Trump has the authority to deploy troops, or not in accordance with the law. He doesn't need her permission. She's violating the separation of powers.

The troops aren't being used for domestic law enforcement and the Federalist Papers aren't law.

That is what central banks do. They are the lender of last resort and function to provide stability to any nation’s financial system.

And why should a nation's central bank be a private entity, which is what the Federal Reserve is? Shouldn't it actually be a part of the government? And how does printing money out of thin air lend stability to the financial system? I have no training in economics yet even I know this is a recipe for inflation.

Trump wanted negative interest rates. What do you suppose that would have done to inflation?

Maybe that is why we dont allow the government full control?

The judge has TDS . Her feelings should not be considered when stating her ruling. She should be immediately disbarred.
