DC started heading downhill before then - precisely, 1968. This is when blacks rioted and destroyed the city following MLK Jr’s assassination, and good people from the suburbs didn’t want to go downtown anymore to restaurants, doctors, shopping, etc.

I remember going downtown to a job interview more than 10 years later, right after college, and the shells of burned out buildings were still there.

I watched the complete bond reduction hearing on YouTube this morning.

One of the main attackers had a long criminal history and spent time in prison a couple of times. The judge kept has bond at $500,000
Another attacker with extensive criminal history received no reduction to his $300,000 bond.
Two of the other men with little to no criminal history, and only played a small part in the attack, got a small bond bond reduction.
Both of the women had large bonds, but the Judge reduced both of their bonds to $25,000 because they had zero criminal history.

The Judge ruled that if any of those accused made bond. They had to wear a GPS ankle bracelet and could only leave their house to drive to work and back home.

In my opinion the Judge was all business, and his rulings were fair without an agenda.

If you refer to the poll that cartoonist Scott Adams’ cited and commented on, which resulted in his comic strip Dilbert being canceled, you’ll see that half of blacks can’t admit that it’s OK to be white. No other criteria than just being white.

There definitely is a problem with the prevalence of bigotry among blacks. Studies have also shown that antisemitic attitudes are more common among blacks than whites.

The ironic thing of course is that while these same blacks openly reveal their bigotry against others, they object to bigotry against themselves.
