Judge handling Maduro case is 92 years old

Well...yes, in two days. Been done many times. Click the link.

The ride is called a 50CC by the Iron Butt Association-50 hours, coast to coast. Some of the crazier IBA riders have done it back-to-back, going coast to coast AND BACK in 100 hours.
No. It hasn't. Simple math proves it. Coast to coast is 3K miles. At an average of 55 mph--if it could be maintained with no fuel, food or rest stops, it would take 54.5 hours and I think a 50cc motorcycle (mini bike) would be hard pressed to maintain it. I've been riding for over 60 years and these runs are made on 1500cc motorcycles quite often, but definitely not in 2 days. BTW an official Iron Butt ride is 1000 miles in 24 hours--I have made one in my life.

The top speed for a 50cc motorcycle typically ranges from 25 to 35 mph, depending on factors like rider weight and terrain conditions. Some models, like the Yamaha PW50, can reach speeds up to 28 mph, while others may go slightly faster under ideal conditions.

Top Speed of 50cc Motorcycles

General Speed Range

The top speed for most 50cc motorcycles typically falls between 25 to 35 mph (40 to 56 km/h). This range can vary based on several factors, including the type of motorcycle, rider weight, and terrain conditions.

Specific Models

Motorcycle ModelTop Speed (mph)Engine Type
Yamaha PW50Up to 282-stroke
KTM 50 SXUp to 452-stroke
Honda CRF50FApproximately 304-stroke

Factors Influencing Speed

  • Rider Weight: Lighter riders may achieve higher speeds.
  • Terrain: Flat, paved surfaces allow for faster speeds compared to rough or inclined terrains.
  • Engine Type: 2-stroke engines generally provide more power and higher speeds than 4-stroke engines.

Legal Restrictions

Many 50cc motorcycles come with speed restrictions to comply with local laws, which can limit their top speed to around 28 mph (45 km/h). Riders may choose to remove these restrictions, but this should be done in accordance with local regulations.
Understanding these factors can help you gauge the performance of a 50cc motorcycle effectively.

It's not on a ******* 50cc bike. THE RIDE IS CALLED A 50CC! (As in: 50 hours Coast to Coast.)
No need to get your panties in a wad. You didn't make that clear and to thinking bike people when you see 50cc, it relates to cubic centimeters. BTW, two days is 48 hours--not 50. Now that is cleared up, while it is possible, it is highly improbable for the math reasons that I've previously posted. If it has been done, it was done like the Great Race, highly illegal as there would be a great number of speed violations.

I feel like I'm dealing with a flat-earther. You are unshakably certain of something I know for a fact is wrong. I linked to the Iron Butt 50cc page, which you clearly couldn't be bothered to check. It's been done many times, the IBA has been around for decades. It's probably done at least once a year. The IBA won't certify a ride that requires excessive speeds. There are thousands of Iron Butt riders...every 2 years, the Iron Butt Rally has a hundred or so banging out 10,000+ miles in about a week and a half.

My uncle still uses the plate holder on his Yamaha triple...

His father wants to do another 48-10 ride this year; that's 48 states in ten days. He'll probably hit 200K on his Wing this year.

Good grief, I swear some people don't know when to retire. You cannot tell me that this guy is fully competent to be running a court room at 92. Probably falls asleep more than he's awake.
