Finally, a judge who isn't a lefty hack. There is no reason the head of the Executive Branch can't fire employees of the Executive Branch.

So, the Unions are required to take their request for action, the Federal Labor Relations Authority, just like the law and their contracts stipulate, before taking it to a regular Federal District Court? Otherwise, they lack standing in Federal District Court, eh? How 'bout that.

Justice would be that they find out that Trump fired the heads of the Federal Labor Relations Authority. ;)

Nah, if that had happened, it would be a Federal District Court case, to be heard on merit, ruled on and subject to appeal to appeals court. This puts it back where Government union labor grievances should start, then the District Courts and then the Courts of appeals, then Supreme Court. By the time it gets to the Supremes, I doubt Trump will still be in office. I would be hard pressed, to believe the District Court Judge had anything else in mind, and I can't really see Appellate action, without the unions even being turned down by the Federal Labor Relations Authority. That would be kind of like a union at a private industry, skipping asking management, before going straight to the courts. Though, I am certainly no legal authority on labor law.
