JP Morgan changes DEI to DOI

That's a false equivalency. You're trying to compare a system set up to assist disabled or mentally challenged people to "DEI".

The two are not the same. I support helping the disabled and those who cannot help themselves. For the rest, opportunity is all the government needs to enforce.
That is what Equity means
Providing more help to those who need it

Another example is the Americans with Disabilities Act

Sure but we're talking about 2 different types of equity. There is a difference in helping those who are unable to help themselves and everyone else

JP Morgan dumped the DEI program in favor of DOI. Instead of the Diversity Equity Inclusion, it's now Diversity Opportunity Inclusion.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - JPMorgan Chase Chief Operating Officer Jenn Piepszak said the bank was making some changes to its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs and the language it uses to describe them in an effort to keep up with the market and changes in regulations, according to a memo seen by Reuters.
The bank was changing “equity” to “opportunity” and renaming it Diversity, Opportunity and Inclusion, from DEI, the memo sent out earlier on Friday said.
"The “e” always meant equal opportunity to us, not equal outcomes, and we believe this more accurately reflects our ongoing approach to reach the most customers and clients to grow our business, create an inclusive workplace for our employees and increase access to opportunities," Piepszak said in the memo.

Now the company will be based on "merit", not equity.
You mean white guys.

You don't get it.

It's a program for helping the disabled. It's a process.

Provide more help to poor people than wealthy people

Equity

Are those poor people disabled or handicapped in some way?

if not, then opportunity should be facilitated for people to improve, but you can't just guarantee outcomes. If everyone ended up with the same thing at the end, why would anyone even work? Just let government provide it for you.

What is your point?

And I just said that I'm fine with helping disabled people, and those who cannot help themselves. For everyone else, they need to be given opportunity to succeed, but not to just have it handed to them.

"No Child Left Behind" ended up leaving millions of our children behind. Government imposed "equity" is incongruent with America.
No Child Left Behind was a REPUBLICAN program designed to leave “certain” children behind

More blame the victim

We have poor people in this country
Conservatives are outraged by black people in the ghetto getting welfare
We also have whites in Appalachia, Mississippi, Louisiana who have gotten welfare for generations

True, so why is race part of the equation?
