Vance told him it is “disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media.”

Zelensky just sent a note to Trump thanking him for the meeting. The tone of the note indicates that negotiations are not over...
Trump and Vance have enough grace that they didn't want to see anyone groveling, though a "thank you, Mr. President" would not have been amiss.
Zelinsky had a chip on his shoulder and is in no position to refuse Trump's offer.

Biden’s administration modified the requirements to get a permanent press pass, including making sure that they worked for news agencies and had actually been to the White House recently.
