It's very focused on race.

He's trying to move away from the Daily Show model (like Colbert did, but not the same way), and hasn't really found his own voice yet.

Marc Maron would work, I think. But that's unlikely.

The "Daily show" will just get a new host. My guess would be Jordan Klepper, Megan Williams or Samantha Bee/Jason Jones. I doubt John Oliver goes back with an extremely successful show on his own at HBO.
