The Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who averaged 32.7 points to win the league's scoring title, has earned his first NBA MVP, finishing ahead of Nikola Jokic.

Not sure what the numbers say when you ignore everything else, but I'm a believer that MVP should go to a successful team, and Denver was merely OK this year. Jokic and his supporters have no real complaint here.

The winner NEEDS to adopt a nickname. Call him, "SGA" or something. It would take me a year of effort for that name to roll off my tongue.
