I am wondering if McCain may reconsider whether he wants to run for re-election or not.
Ann Kirkpatrick (D-AZ-01) has announced that she is running for the Senate in Arizona:

Kirkpartrick is a fighter. She lost her seat in the 2010 GOP mid-term wave and then won it back in 2012 and retained it in 2014. She is a big supporter of veterans and sits on a number of important committees in the US HOR.
And, in stark contrast to Mitt Romney, who cut off his supporters credit cards before even going out to give his concession speech, Kirkpatrick did this after she lost in 2010:
Not money for herself. For her staff. And quite legally.
In a year where it is expected that a woman is going to be at the top of the Democratic presidential ticket, having a serious female challenger to McCain in Arizona is an unexpected yet very positive turn of events for the Democratic Party in this state. The last time Arizona had a Democratic Senator was with Dennis DeConcini , from 1977-1995, so this state has had 2 Republican Senators now for 20 years straight.
And with Ann Kirkpatrick's announcement, Arizona likely becomes a battleground state on the senatorial front. And presidential polling also shows it a likely battleground on the presidential front as well.
